BOOYAH, it's time again for Rigel!!!
For those unfamiliar with the Rigel LANs, here's the rundown.
Rigel is a themed style LAN run in Warrnambool, with the theme for this event being NO FPS. You want to build a civilization and destroy another, fine. You want to burn some rubber with your mates, that's fine too. But one thing you will not do, is pull out your semi automatic weapon and gun people to death or see how high you can make people bounce with frag grenades.
The aim being to draw attention away from the widely popular FPS games and focus on other genres such as RTS, RPG, Raceing etc for all those that enjoy them, but don't get the time at other events. Competitions are being run for Warhammer 40k: Dawn Of War, Tony Hawk Underground 2, and they're even pulling out a card table and having a Magic The Gathering comp.
