Some silly sausage saudis made use of an old (unpatched ! doh!) vbulletin hole and had some fun with our site.

Shame on us for not updating !

Ah well, all good now, lost about a weeks worth of posts, so that should be about 5/6 posts + about 350 from moo

also, please dont open the email that was sent from admin@lanx.org.au with those zip files

It wasn't us, it was the baddies who sent it !

UPDATE 1:10pm:
It appears that they also hacked our bank account and transferred US$2.4M to a swiss bank account and then immediately out of there to an unknown destination, more on this as we get it

UPDATE 8:13pm:
The nation's top anti terrorist team has decrypted the strange arab text and it reads as follows- "I was just a boy when the infidels came in their gunship helicopters .. they fired at the oil field and burning oil rained down upon my goats. i wouldnt exactly call them 'hackers' they just used a well known vulnerability in vbulletin that we should have patched in june but didnt. Most likely they downloaded some tool and used that ..

Either way, we deserved it for having unpatched shit running.

Sucks that you can google for shit lke "Powered by: vBulletin Version 2.3.0" and use a "haxxing tool" to "hax" people. Random vandalism is shit and stupid, they've got no point.
