If anyone has a 56k modem they're willing to part with for a few dollars (because they've upgraded to ADSL/cable) then feel free to get in contact with me :D This stupid piece of shit USB modem rarely ever turns on.

I'm open to most offers below $1000.

cos he's in almost as backwards place as you are, egerton boy :P

My Dad lived in mt Egerton for a bit. Same side as the shop, about 3or 4 houses down, towards gordon that is. Almost across from teh old post office, but not quite. Does Ian the Irishman still put his pet horse in random backyards to mow the grass?

Except perhaps the other direction:o I need 56k because our exchange isn't enabled for ADSL because Telstra are money-clenching retardulars. And obviously we can't get cable, the network doesn't even come remotely near us.

56k, all the way.

i work for a company ausIT.net they run out of ballan... We are currently applying to the state goverment to stick a tower on the Primary School. Then you know I can get it and Tubbie can get it, unless our young friend tony points his aerial towards ballan and its high enough I can get it off him. :P.

We are also currently getting a geelong company to install the equipment under hibis and then we are applying for hibis to sell the internet unlimited at 1000/512 no bandwith squeezeing after a limit for under $88
