(google's new free email service) yeah, i barely use mine. it works nice and fast though, WAY faster than hotmail .. i find it useful to have a free email account to give people who are too stupid to not 'send me something really funny' via a web page and for signing up for forums and things so my real email addresses remain as spam free as possible

it's still only beta and they are controlling the number of people with accounts .. basically once you get an account after a while you start to get invites you can give to people, and so on.

The ads are only little text ads same as the ones on the right of normal google, i dont even notice em.

Another cool thing about gmail is that it doesnt load embedded images by default, so it's fast that way and the auto image loads cant be used to verify your address for spamming. One click and the images are loaded, which is cool.

Man, I would've loved to have been like a dealer when it first came out... rationing people their GMail invites... oh, the joy.

I think you get a set amount of invites, weekly.
