Comps will only be run if enough people enter.

As someone who picks up probably more than anyone on these forums, i'd *hate* to be "trying" to pick someone up... my motto (and probably the reason i don't have a grrlfrnd):

MonsterLAN VIII - Game On
Hi cisco_queen,

MonsterLAN has been through a few changes over the past few weeks to enable us to become the premier Gaming LAN event in the WORLD. We now have a new MonsterLAN Admin Crew, better comps, more prizes, new prize draw format and lots of other improvements. Big events like CPL, Quakecon etc. will be nothing compared to the fun & games we have in store for you at MonsterLAN VIII - Game On.

We have lots of prizes to please your winning needs, but this time around the winners will have to earn their MonsterLAN bounty in the MonsterLAN Game Show. Gamers will pit both their brains & brawn against each other. If your just a grunt with negative IQ then don't worry you still have a chance in the "Physical Challenge".


We have lots of cool stuff to give away including an external 160GB hard disk for all those times when your collection of Bjork songs, pictures and movies grows beyond your current capacity.

With the recent release of Doom 3 we too have been having to change our pants while playing this awesome game we decided we should have a 4v4 DeathMatch competition.

We also have the classic Counter Strike 1.6 competition with the usual 6 v 6, Call Of Duty Death Match, and Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne 2 v 2 and lots more. Everyone enjoyed the MASSIVE Savage games that were had last LAN so we will be having a huge comp that pits one side of the room against the other side of the room.

With MonsterLAN VIII - Game on being on the same day as the AFL GRAND FINAL we will once again have the game broadcast on the BIG projector screen for all those AFL Fans (Go the Bombers).

If you have already registered or are about to register for the MonsterLAN VIII then you will have confirm your registration by clicking on the confirmation button that will appear after the 10th of September in the LAN Signup's part of the site. You will get a reminder email 1 week before the event if you have not already confirmed your registration.

At the end of the day, macs crunch numbers and they are built well. Until recently they had a pathetic operating system, but now of course mac OS X is bsd kernel based and it's interface is exactly what linux desktop people have needed to do for 5 years.

I've just run into too many uninformed yet arrogant mac users who have tried to tell me that the mac operating system is lightyears ahead of anything else (yes, long before OSX)
