NO WAY, u obviously havn't been to the swap meet, Kingston 512MB DDR PC-3200 was $140, and that was 3 months ago.

well, i got a "256mb" stick of sd for $75 which turned out to be only 128. so im gunna go in there with a baseball bat next time and get the other half

it's probably your motherboard dude. are all the ram chips on one side of the stick ? if so then many older motherboards will see it as 128MB, i know mine did, a pIII450 era board.
