Quake3 is still cool... especially compared with come of the newer CRAPPIER Fps games out there.. *shudder*.. but i wouldnt be suprised if ID drops the balls with Doom 3.. it's headed that way

for the quake III comp could you please make it Cyber Pro Mode (CPMA) mod required as it will make the 1v1 games alot more enjoyable. It will speed up gameplay and make it more suited for a tournament enviroment

cpma IS fucking brilliant, however vanilla q3 is still quite valid imho. If we get some more players who can acutally play q3 then we'd definately have to consider cpma. cpma would make for some full on exhibition matches on the projector too

vanilla is especially good for an all-in fun dm or ctf

Some real players would quickly fix my 'big fish in an extremely small q3 pond' status too :D

Rocket Arena 3 is where its at, a true test of player skill. Challenge Pro Mode Arena is great fun, but it doesnt have the feel of RA3s' arenas

q3 has never been a 'pro' comp at lanx. Just a game that everyone jumps in and has a laugh and then the same couple of people battle it out at the end .. but the important thing is that it's a quick bash fun game, nothing too serious.

Besides, just because some people release a 'proper comp mod' doesn't mean that the original game isnt a valid competition in it's own right ..
