Hey Guys,
Me and Spot have been accepted into NEIS (New Enterprise Incentives Scheme). We started our business course on Monday, and finish at the end of the year, we are currently working on the constitution (for the association), and a sliding scale for public liability insurance. Membership will be open once these two things are in place. Once all is complete, we will grow together with your idea's and suggestions determining where VicLAN goes.
LAN Managers feel free to post your ideas.

These are the following services we are working on:
- Public Liability Insurance for Member LAN's
- Advertising and Sponsorship Sharing
- Directed Banners, as most of you have computer stores that support you, their banner will be displayed to gamers that sign up in their location
- MonkeyDSL will offer discounts to VicLAN members
- B&D Have offered discounts to VicLAN members, if you can work something out with your sponsors that would be great.
- When you sign members up it will be via an online database, then we will send out the membership package including their membership card etc
- The formation of a wholesale buyers group, as we have an ABN and are a registered tax exempt organisation, we will be able to purchase direct from the wholesaler

Other Idea's:
- Printing, when you have an event, you send us a poster/flier and we print them out for you, as we all know how much printing can be
Generally, anything to help out.

We are working on the fine points my main man ;) I'm talking to the other LANs about the membership fee and the per event fee for Public Liability etc. Because we are going to have hosting included, we are trying to make it around that price for membership, we'll let you know once we have it figured out.
Per LAN will be a sliding scale, as the cover we are getting is for $10M and goes up depending on the amount of events, and the amount of people, this cost will be spread among us.
