DC or Nam?

Now that we have the option of eather DC or Nam for a battlefeild comp, what do the gamers want?

both have ups and downs, Nam is new, but DC is well established.

So what do we want for X10? cause i would love to see some more BF/DC/Nam action!

Even like just have a pure comp!!

yea thats what i'm thinking, but i still want to hear what the gamers have to say some might just want to stay with DC for a little while longer or some might wanna move on, but i'm happy to run either

'Nam would be probobly be easier to organise into a comp, mainly because I've noticed people having versioning issues with BF/DC. Unlike DC, Nam is not a beta release, and has a little extra polish to it.

Plus Nam is slightly more team oriented, in that you capture points faster by moving in squads.
I'm happy to play either game though. Both are teh excellent. :)

I say Nam, since it's easier to organise over DC- nam has only one crack needed, and no patches, so you only need to organise everyone to be using the same one.

...But how do you pick up vehicles in the Huey?

Hahahaha, hold down Secondary fire until the rope's extended, then let go when you get a green light next to the rope meter after hanging it above a vehicle. Keep in mind that this won't work with the Cobra attack helicopter, nor the Mi-8 assault helicopter.

Oh, it is... it is. Exploding APCs do quite a lot of damage, not to mention lowering morale in that they now know that the helicopter means business, but would rather play with them :D:D:D

plus the carried APC can still attack- and you can carry anything, even those sweet river gunboats

and drop them anywhere, so you can use them as fixed weapons

You can't carry _anything_, you're limited to troop carriers, jeeps and sea vehicles. You can't pick up a MiG for Vertical Take-Off and Landing :p, neither can you pick up a tank.

And forget the sweet river gunboats, pick up the sweet river helipad :D Automatically heals you as you fly along, restocks your ammo... good deal, I reckon.

how do you lower the ramp on the river helipad? it looks like you can load a vehicle onto it, but the arrows won't lower it like a landing boat.

I don't think you can. Sucks, really.

Besides which, I'm pretty sure the game's wired to make most vehicles explode upon contact with water, save the APCs... oh how they remind me of otters...

well, one very usefull trick. Get 8 odd me nin a trasport nboat or aPC, Pick up, and they will shoot out the side; anti air. Yell BSAIL OUT! paradtrop. either goback for more, or join the combat yourslef

just like the Nbrigade, oh how i cherish them

i have to say i admire both games; DC is better for snipzoring and making MASIIF! explosions, but Nam is better for stealthy cunning, and being a whore with hueys, and chinooks.

nam is the game that is going to be ru as the BF comp from now on, i can already see how dirty it will be if everyone does the dirty sniping thing but i hope it won't come to that.....


nam looks like the game play can be really solid if done right, just gotta love how silly charlie looks, all skinny and mulnurushed ;)
