LAN Of The Damned XIX

Time to organise another LAN Of The Damned, our 19th to date. Since our change of venue has resulted in lower costs, we figure we'll pass some of the savings on to our attendees. With that in mind the entry fee for this LAN will be only $15. The event will be held in September from 12.00pm on the 13th to 2.00pm on the 14th, once more at the Warrnambool College Hall (see badly drawn map (http://lanotd.viclan.org.au/images/WarrnamboolCollegeMap.jpg )). As usual we'll be holding 2 competitions, and giving away plenty of goodies. More information will be posted as it develops.

Who loves Mario Cart? One of our admins has decided to setup his console at the event for some 4 player Mario Cart 64 action. I'm sure he can be convinced to run some other games as well though ;)

But the part LANers are probably more interested in is the prizes. Thermaltake (http://www.thermaltake.com.au) has sent us one of their Lanparty Kits with some very nice stuff to give away. We'll also have some vouchers from Super Billing up for grabs and Gigasoft IT Solutions has provided a VOIP box to add to the prize pool. There's still a month to go until the event and the prizes just keep flowing in :)

We've set the 2 competitions for the LAN. The main comp will be Quake 4 in tournament mode, and the novelty comp will be Trackmaina Nations.

On the sponsorship front Crucial (http://www.crucial.com) have sent us some goodies to give away including some DDR2, Jack's Games have provided a $50 voucher & Netspace (http://www.netspace.net.au) have sent a bunch of promotional items such as t-shirts, hats etc.
