Your Mission LANXers (If you choose to accept it), is to find LANX a new home, for all nerd kind!

Requirements:

A Venue with the following:

1) Approx 200 square metres open space (preferably with stage area)
2) Toilet for pooping
3) Kitchen for cooking
4) 2 x 32A 3 phase plug, or at least access to 5-6 20A circuits (3 phase preferred)
5) 48 tables (standard 6" trestle, or similar)
6) 96 chairs (comfy preferred for bums)
7) Seclusion (to stop curious walkers by wandering in) and parking (for cars) would be lovely

Separate area for console'ing/snoozing would be awesome!

The person who brings me the info that leads to a permanent home for LANX will get...
2 X FREE VIP GB SEATS FOR A YEAR!!! :eek:

Rules for the Comp:

1) If you just throw a name at me you're not going to win shit :)
2) I want well researched entries, all above points addressed and photo's provided
3) Provide contact details for the person in charge of venue rental so I can suss them out

As for attendance being lower, it appeared as a trend rather then a once off thing,

E: on the forums before an X event, the complaints and "not fucken gowwen" seemed to be getting more and more common.. But considering I havn't been to an x in a while, I can't say shit about attendance

X is a mint event, always have fun when I go, great people too, It would be nice to see a worthy venue (somewhere) put to good use. I'm surprised at myself, for not actually ever go to any of the BE Lanx events, I always had other shit on, which is annoying, Because running a LAN at a liscensed event was such a good idea.

i think it would have worked better as a once off kinda thing like lotl a few years back.

i've been over a few times during the BE lans, and it just felt like people were playing wii, standing around talking or downstairs trying to pick up.

Agreed. Although people go to lans for various reasons, like if you go to mostly just socialize then a pub/club seems suitable.

Thanks for your efforts, had some good suggestions so far :) I really should take the uni finance to the civil and administrative tribunal and get this debt removed! It's got nothing to do with amenities, they would gladly hire the venue to us again, bloody bureaucracy holding us back!!!
