360 media centre

anyone using a xbox 360 as a media centre... i have followed all the info on how to set it up and shit and it finds my music etc but it wont find any of my movies even tho i have added them to media player and its sharing and all the settings are apparently correct just says no videos found. you can watch video content from xbox live marketplace, a dvd, data disc, or a protable device, or by connecting to a windows-based PC which i have done and it works but it just wont find videos any help anyone (im using XP)

xbmc is that only for original xbox or is it compatible with 360... i tried tversity but i cant figure out how to make it work its being faggetry but yeah lol i just want a basic program to play movies from my PC through my 360 i think i might just install vista ultimate as a 2nd OS and jst boot to it when i want to watch movies

i run vista ultimate with transcode 360

it works well except for a couple of little bugs

Oh if you didnt allready know this transcode encodes your vids on the fly to be compatible with the 360.

transcode works preety good but for a proper home system nothing beats xbmc on original xbox

64bit is brilliant if ya can use it, I can;t see any reason to not run 64bit if ur cpu likes it.

2gb of ram otherwise your losing massive amounts of performance, but it will run fine on 1gb
the rest doesn't really matter, runs well.
