On Sunday the 29th of April at 11am, Guf will be running the inaugural Ballarat RTS qualifiers. Only 8 people will be selected for the Ballarat team. These RTS champions will receive at least 2 free hours to train each week, a free tshirt and will be bused to Shepparton to pit their skills against the best of Shepp.
The selected games are: C&C Generals (Shepparton's choice), Dawn of War Dark Crusade (Ballarat's choice) and Defence of the Ancients (a Warcraft III mod for all you pro gamers). The format will consist of two rounds in 4 or 5 people teams for each of the 3 games, with a 30-40min time limit. This equates to over 3 hours of gaming for only $8. Add in rest time between rounds and a few extra games if time permits and we probably won't finish until 6pm. Almost seven hours for only $8.
The finals of the Guf-Cyberbunker RTS Shield will be hosted by Shepparton's premier games centre, Cyberbunker on Sunday the 20th of May. Prove yourself the best and get selected for the Guf Ballarat RTS team. With 22 people already registered, to be sure of a spot make sure you come in and pay BEFORE the event.
