Have there been new games for hte ps3 at guf? I've only seen gundam multiplayer. Maybe if I saw singleplayer games with the so called eyecandy I wouldn't be so shocked at it though.

All this wii + 360 talk though... its kinda getting realistic. I might get a 360 next price drop or something, or when more killer games come out for it.

There was a GT4 demo at the expo Mark and I went to tonight - it looks SO CRAP.

The mountains in the distance are flat and featureless, and there's no antialiasing - the jaggies are noticeable even at 1080p.

And yeah, the Australian version of the console has no PS2 emulation chip in it either, so NO KATAMARI DAMACY FOR YOU

I'm getting a ps3, im going to pre order, now im thinking about getting a US one instead after hearing that,
before you all jump down my throaght (J and ryan are allowed down my throaght) i think i barely scrape into the "casual gamer" category because i dont play games at all really. I do have an xbox, that i just use as a media center, and i intend on doing likewise with the PS3.

Now i know that there are a lot cheaper media boxes out there, but the PS3 can run linux as a standard option, and is a blu ray player. look at the original xbox before and after it was linux-ified. you can also plug in external HDD's into it. This is the sort of thing that makes me think that someone somewhere will create some kind of media center app for the ps3 that will have a fucking sweet gui, and is really efficient and effective.

Just a pain in the ass having to pay so much. god damn it.

just like I said in my kinda review of it..
its got plenty of potential, and I mean heaps, which is why I'm hanging onto it... but for now...
it just has no good games... at all
the online doesn;t work properly...
ps2 games don't work... at all (maybe cos its jap?)
the media player is more limited (it will improve tho to be better) than that in the 360
the controller is hype, and sucks, its just a tiltable vibrationless ps2 controller

graphics is exactly on par with 360, I have both on my lcd so running at 1080i, and theres nothing outstanding from either, there basically identical, which is fucking good graphics.

the aus version is gonna be identical, unless that shit about the ps2 not being in it, in which case, it doesn;t work in my jap one, so as if it makes a difference anyway... there all the same.

In biglittleworld, (or whatever bigs and littles worlds combination it is) players can create thier own objects, download more objects, etc, then create thier levels - same as i second life. However, in secondlife, which is like... java script based, or worse, graphics (which is what alot of games are about for me, just like you are a res whore).

These objects you can make are far more like Garry's mod, than Secondlife. What you need to see though that the goal of this is after you make your level, with jumping and whatnot, you "release" it into the world pectrum, and everyone rates your level, that's implied at the end of the video.

Personally, i'd spend time playing :P i bought garry's mod too, just to see.
