I mentioned earlier, that there would be NO wow, and asked for your co-operation.
But, when i get this response...It frustrates me.

Yes, once the whole team is in, they finally decide, "oh, yeah, i think i'd play that..."
I set up a trial server, asked every one to join. Only a few did. In the end, they just went back to playing their own games, at lan. Im pretty sure, each one of them was playing something different.

i think lanx is evolving, so how it used to happen may need to change. i think getting people together in teams will still work. but if it's preplanned and there's a timetable then everyone knows what's going on. in the end it'll make it easier for everyone.

more planning before hand = less farting around = more time for drinking beer.

Any MMO as a competition would be extremely shit, especially WoW. There's no skill involved, its about how you've progressed your own character. LAN competitions should be based on how you've competed at the LAN, not how much time you've spent grinding to get your level up.

a) don't socialise
b) don't participate in the comps

in answer to some things in this thread:

1 - wow IS gay, no ifs or buts. GAY period. LANs are there to game with people who may or may not play online.
if you want to play wow, do it between comps or after comps have finished.

2 - LANX has had a time table from the get go - normally all comps are preplanned and shit like that.
next X will be planned alot more - god knows why we went with the pick comps on the day, cause it never works.

3 - this thread is symbolic of why we have 2 separate venues.
