FPS Cup

On Saturday the 17th of February, Guf are going to hold an FPS qualifying tournament. Some of the details are yet to be worked out but it will start at roughly 12 noon, will last most of the day and include 3 seperate double elimination competitions - COD2, CS:S and MOH (breakthrough expansion).

There will be a few prizes such as Guf time and a couple of free games but the main prize is.... the chance to spank Geelong's FPS finest in an allstar frenzy.

Thats right, the best 8 players will earn the right to represent Ballarat in the first leg of the bi-annual FPS Cup. The spanking session (or Tournament Final, if you prefer) will take place on Saturday the 24th of March in Geelong. Guf will provide transport to Geelong and help the mighty Ballarat team celebrate their glorious victory.

Details: Subject to change
Entry: $8 per person - for all 3 competitions - probably over 4 hours of competitive play.
Date: Sat 17th Feb - pretty fixed, Geelong are holding their qualifier the same day (no trying out for both teams:no )
Time: 12noon till elimination from all 3 competitions
Format: damn its gunna be complicated - we need to find the allstars that can play as a team...

At the moment I am looking for expressions of interest, questions and suggestions. If you know anyone who is awesome at even one of these games - let them know!

Well, I'm a new guy around Ballarat, but hey, I've been playing CS:S and 1.6 since it came out, been in a few clans and one of my own. Although now I'm sort of retired from pro-gaming, I can still give you hard time :)

Just a note to the 31 ppl that have signed up for the FPS Cup... you must pay the $8 by 6pm Fri. After that the draw will be made up and you will miss out :( The actual compeition will start 12noon Sat.

Also MOH:BT has been abandoned in favour of plain old MOH.
