View Full Version : Multi Theft Auto: Vice City
it's back to the 80's with MTA:VC, the multiplayer patch for GTA: Vice City.
strut over to www.multitheftauto.com (http://www.multitheftauto.com) and download it.
since it has only been released it will be a test to see how playable it is.
supposedly there is no lag over a lan, but that remains to be seen.
i am really hanging out to play this, so i hope there will be a few people out there willing to have a go.

i had a look at a while ago but it gust kept crashing out and stuf
really?, sh!t i havent had a chance to test it yet.
me and kenny will do it the night before X6, when we do all the other server testing :p

whats the game play like??
is it like single player with more players??
yeah basically it is ffa dm,
with weapons and cars all over tha joint.
i have been playing it online with a 56k(gay) connection and it runs fine.
so i'll start a server at X6 and get everyone to have a go.

yeah there are heaps of helicopters in it, there is the apache at the air force base near the air port.
and zenon im sure someone at lanx6 will have a copy of VC you can 'borrow' for a 'while' ;)

it rules... thats all there is to say about... that ... there is still a few bugs in it but it is only half finnished...
+ there is heaps of aus servers

there's 6 different helicopters in the game .the maverik. the skimmer the police maverik the vcn maverik and the sea skimmer
and the hunter the last two have guns on them chain guns and the hunter has realy big missles

go to www.gtawh.com to get maps on where everything is
like all the helicopters and all the weapons and hidden packages and everything
the layout in MTA is different.
all the people and traffic have been removed and health, armour and weapons are placed around the map.
and vehicles are parked in carparks scattered around.

All I have to say is, MTA is funny, with extra fun and extra ny. There's so many ramp-trucks, if you set up a motorcycle course down the main road of the west island... :D'ness

i just got mta it's wicked we should all play it at lanx 6 and lan 69
we are mayne, i'll have a server running.
we'll see how stable it is and if it goes good we may see it as a comp in the future.

www.gtawh.com has all the mods and all the skins and all the other stuff for vice city
do mods and stuff work with MTA tho??
cause if every player doesn't have the mods it will prolly crash.
at the mo keep it to vanilla MTA, cause no doubt it'll crash flat anyway. :p

we'll just have to get everyone running the same mods then
it would be be best to use plain vice city, as heaps of ppl have expressed an interest in playing it.
but half of them don't even have it so, they will be installing it on the day.
in conclusion: fresh vice city install, with the mta client.
we have to setup the servers before hand and they will be as above.

Just to let you guys know, I was reading the readme of MTA along with some other documentation and having mods isn't allowed with MTA. So either way I think its going to have to be straight MTA.
Of course by now you may already know this (re: above post.) Sorry if it's old news.
