LANX23 Novelty Comp Poll

i am looking at tetris grand master (http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=T&game_id=10684) or karate champ (http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=K&game_id=8280) as the novelty game.

both are great fun VS games.


TETRIS is tetris - anyone can play it, good thing about this version is you can see a sillouette of your piece on the pile.
so you can just place it by looking at the pile and not following it down the screen.
you also would ahve seen this tetris being played in that crazy vid of the asian dude going mental speeds on tetris.

KARATE CHAMP - is a one on one fighting game - you use 2 sticks to perform moves - ie right and up is a head kick.
first person to 2 points, is a good example of risk = reward.
you would have seen this game being played in Van Dammes Bloodsport movie.

i am pretty partial to both. but tetris cause anyone can play it, but KC cause it is a great technical game.

KC is cool, pretty simple game with massive depth.

game only uses 4 directions on each stick, so a pad would work too.

you do combinations of up/up or up/right, etc.

EDIT: Sam, Tetris grand master is diff, still same tetris, but you see a shadow of your block on the pile.
so you can see the placement before you move it into place, plus there seems to be a longer time when you drop your block and it locks in place.

Hey everyone, don't like kill me for saying this. But for LANX 24 or whatever the one after this one is the comp should be a slimegames game. it'd be mad having them on the projector and they are fun as. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bartle/ thats a link to a few different variations. We could have a 2 vs 2 volleyball match?... Yeah well anyway I thought'd be cool.
