COD2 is in and QUAKE 3 on sudays as always.

need 2 more games for saturday and also a novelty comp.

i was thinking maybe PAINKILLER (saw partybear playing it and it looks FAST)
and SWAT 4.

novelty i dunno - something on the projector - i do have killer instinct on snes :P


**Also i am going to OzHadou Nationals 5 (http://www.ozhadou.net/) on July 1&2, so all saturday night we WILL be playing nothing but Street Fighter 3 Third Strike on the projector.
I need as much practice as i can get so i don't totally embaress myself at the tourny.

Nah SWAT 4 isnt dead, im just getting into it. I didnt like it at first, but now ive played a bit and know what to do its awesome. I rly like the idea of the random teams :D. Far Cry or UT2K4 for the other saturday comp? Novelty comp, starcraft? Its pretty old now. Or even WWF Smackdown on PS1, that was a good game.

UT would be cool, but the load times on it are radical... and farcry is like 1 hour to install, and chugs on alot of PCs.

You know, some Savage wouldnt go astray. but everyone would be realyl really noob, and it would suck alot.

I'm not requesting this for the comp, but i thought i'd mention that I've aquired 4 classic MOH:AA maps converted to COD2 by various mappers including:
- The Bridge (also known as Crossroads, in S&D you blow the bridge) Screenshot (http://members.iinet.net.au/~snazz/images/cod2mohaabridge.jpg)
- Stalingrad (Room to room fighting, Strangely it's Americans vs Germans) Screenshot (http://members.iinet.net.au/~snazz/images/cod2mohaastalingrad.jpg)
- V2 Rocket Facility (Mainly room to room fighting, has working doors, in S&D you blow the Rocket or the Control room) Screenshot (http://members.iinet.net.au/~snazz/images/cod2mohaav2rocketfacility .jpg)
- Southern France (Mix of open and room to room fighting, textures are ported straight from MOH:AA so it looks a bit strange in COD2 but still a fun TDM map) Screenshot (http://members.iinet.net.au/~snazz/images/cod2mohaasouthernfrance.j pg)
*Note: Map screenshots were taken on low video settings

I saw some mappers working on converting other MOH:AA maps aswell, including Destroyed Village and The Hunt.

I noticed that in some of the photos from the first few LANX's people were playing MOH:AA and the maps from the game kept me and others interested in it long after the COD series had been established. So i thought it was worth seeing who is also into playing COD2 yet has fond memories of MOH:AA maps. Any non-stock maps can also be good for the sake of variety.

That's if you're standing out on the road or on the bridge and in that case you should expect to get shot easily, by a sniper or whatever decent ranged weapon, however there's 2 covered routes to the bridge (through the buildings and down the tunnel) and when you get to the bridge you can hide under it. Also, sniping in COD2 isn't as common as it is in MOH:AA.
