Yeah as the title says does anyone know how to do your own dvd/cd copy protection so people can't rip off your shit? It'
s really getting annoying lately, i wish i could share the tale but would take to much time.
I know it has something to do with making a iso image first an encoding or soemthing, just not completely sure about what to do.

the problem with DVD encryption is that it has to use one of the standard DVD encryptions for it to play in the players and so DVDShrink or similar program will be able to decrypt it anyway rendering the whole excersise pointless... there is no point making a new encryption (or a Lock) if the dvd player (the Key) doesnt fit. hope that makes sence...

i think thats right, as far as i know.... :)

try this maybe:

make an iso image of dvd
then use a program like scramdisk to encrypt the iso, with passwords. that'll stop em! dunno if thats what you want though, but only way to properly protect is with passwords

but then you cant share it and let them watch it without the password... so kinda pointless :)

also making watching it in a DVD player pretty difficult :)

There is a method which breaks in some dvd players, but basically you need to mark sectors as 'bad', this prevents DVD Shrink from copying them. (DVD Decrypter still works though, but nubs dont know how to use that)
