FORUM UPGRADE!

Hi Guys,

Just about to do a forum / front page / gallery version upgrage, the forum will go down from about 9pm till 9.30pm if all goes well. When all doesn't go well, the site will return when Dave fixes what ever I broke :)

Right! All upgrades are done... ish! Frontpage and Gallery back, photo's from the last few lans will be up soon!

I've had to revert a lot of the templates to crazy right to left nonsense with nonsensical and unintuitive button placement, but fixing all that again will take a hella long time! So for the time being, enjoy the new functions, such as inline editing, and... well that's about it :P There's some other cool stuff which will help your spamming expoits! Enjoy.

Everything's on default settings, it's gone from the 3.0x version of vB to the new 3.5x version. So everything's reverted to the base settings for that, which is a major pain in the ass cause it too AGES to get everything the way I liked it :(

yep, but only to people that are logged in, there used to be a "list of forum's to ignore" option in the old portal, couldn't find it in this one so meh :P I have to put in every forum I WANT to show, instead of just the one I DON'T... and I cbf :P

I was told rep didn't mean shit by at least 2 lanx veterans, now you're trying to convince me it does mean something? I think there's enough half-sensible users here to make sure no one gets misguided, and if anyone still manages to be guilable, irational and plain stupid enough to believe something like F10 being god mode in CSS then they deserve what they get and they'l learn from it.

If you think my last post was bitching then you're mistaken, i was giving reasons for keeping the rep system as it is now. If i wanted to bitch/complain about something (within reason) i wouldn't be put off by something as rude as 'quit fucking bitching' anyway.

theres never a logical argument, without mentioning names, theres very little knoledgable people here, or very little that show it, and it's a waste of time helping people when they insist on not listening.

Personal opinion powers you all, with experience or true knoledge having no weight in it at all (well, there are the few exceptions, aphex is all I can think of for now), but there are a few new tags since I was last active so maybe theres another 1.. or 2 people now?

Just remember, when at the lan and someone is having issues, and I come and sort them out, then when someone asks for advice on the forums that 'someone' always thinks their opinion is better than everyone elses... .. theres a LOT of 'someones' and it sickens me to see you throwing out advice like yer all fucking professionals then when it comes to a problem at a lan you all come crawling up to the front cos you can't even figure out how to set ur network card for dhcp.

that should mean a hell of a lot to the rest of you guys talking shit all the time!!! rep has nothing to do with actuall REP in person, simply more of a statis on the forum... you could have really bad rep because your simply an arsehole on here?, and you could be very much respected in the community because of what ever...
but enough of making examples... people take advice from who ever and where ever they can get it, it's up to the person who seeks this advice, to follow it up, to make sure it genuine, that would only make sense...

Ok Guys, Just upgraded again to 3.6.3 and VBA 2.2.1, so again if there are any errors you notice, lemme know! :) Also they've addressed the GOTO LAST POST issue in the portal software! FINALLY!
