Time for another LAN Of The Damned, after a longer than usual break. But they do say "absence makes the heart grow fonder" so everyone should be particularly keen to attend our 12th event on April 29th & 30th.

There will be a few changes this time around with the introduction of the ALP (http://www.nerdclub.net/alp) intranet system, which will be familiar to those who attended MorB. We will be running pizza ordering & competition entries through this as well as the music playlist that proved so popular at MorB 10.

The event is being held at our usual venue at the St Pius Primary School Function Room, here's a badly drawn map (http://lanotd.viclan.org.au/images/StPiusLocation.jpg) for those who don't know where it is. Southern Right Computers will once more be supplying prizes for both the competitions in the form of $100 vouchers, good on 'em. Also Pizza Haven will be providing their popular $5 large pizzas again.

LANOTD t-shirts will be available for those who wish to purchase them, check out our Merchandise (http://lanotd.viclan.org.au/index.php?page=merchandis e) page to see the design, sizing and prices.

Registration (http://www.morb.ath.cx/forums/calendar.php?id=114&day=29&month=04&year=2006&mode=display) is now open at the normal charge of $15 a seat.
Further information and discussion can be found in the LANOTD XII Thread (http://lanotd.viclan.org.au/index.php?page=forums&url=http://lanotd.viclan.org.au/forum/viewtopic.php?t=100)

Wouldn't kill you to click the ALP link.

Music: Allow users to vote for tracks and upload music creating a Shoutcast Stream complete with ID3 tag reading

The one I screwed around with some time ago had the choice to be played through the server's speakers, I daresay that's what they'd use, they'd be silly duffers not to :)

It's pretty sweet. LANers can jump on the intranet and add songs to the playlist from what's on the server, or upload their own stuff to play. It's then played via Winamp. LANers can vote songs up the playlist while admins can force them to the front of the cue, skip them, or remove them from the playlist altogether.
