Was just Looking around this wonderous site and came to the realisation that we don't have a Tech area. Why is that? even if it is for crappy sooky stuff that your average Lanner could fix maybe there is an obscure problem out there that somone is having.

Like for instance on't really mind but my clock from the corner has disapeared and I can't get it back.

Simple solution for this one, right click on your start bar, Properties, Check the "Show The Clock" Box:tg

If this has been done before 'humblest apologies my lord.'

My tachometer behaves like a spastic child fed a lemon. Even on a highway when I know I'm doing 2000rpm. Especially when I turn lights/heater fan on.

Also I get ice-cold air through my drivers-side face vent, variable according to the speed of the car, also variable according to the weather.

This is an easy fix dude are you driving tomorow night, whats your car a corola, my oldy was a corola and did this too.

You can be traveling at 60kmh and your tacho reads about 140kmh, and sounds like a really anoying bee

I'm driving tomorrow night, Subaru Leone 1985.

Tacho = revs
Speedo = speed

Yes I can hear a bee noise though.

what the fu*k is a leone, sure subau I understand but whats the deal.

yeah I got what you were saying dude, I was just showing a similarity. what you will need to do Is take the whole face assemably off, and make sure all connections are in the port properly, it's like trying to use Cat5e when only one of your blue wires works, you can have the green orange brown working fine but if that blue ain't in the plug proper havn't got a chance

*shrug* Just a 1.8L sedan. I never heard of them before either.

what you will need to do Is take the whole face assemably off
/me cries and opens the yellowpages to "Auto Mechanics"

Bladia

yeah well my astra is only a 1.8L Hatch so don't feel bad

sorry dude you asked, generally its not hard. if you keep all the parts organised and have spare tiny sealable bags to put nuts and bolts in you would be fine. its basicly just like pushing molex power into your hard drive.

If i wasn't going away on for 10 days on saturday I'd do it for you sunday after breakfast while everyone is playing quake. But I have to leave on Sat about 1:30 just after the Swat 4 tournament finishes, going to kick but in that one.

Mmmmm Blady need bed, need get good sleep:p , frag all asses:dead

P.S. I'd be looking for Auto electrician, Not Auto Mechanic, those guys rip you off big time.

get them gregorys books. (sure they are gregorys)
and they have them on specific models.
one book = one car (or run of cars)
and they have everything about the cars in em.
try looking for one of them joshu.

yea i bought the gregorys for my VL and damn it had everything - just go to a wreackers J and by a whole new dash and slam it in - its easy as when u have greg and the same model dash :P

saves u fucking around tring to get it to work - or just disconnect it and get a simple aftermarket job from autopro - ask for dave or nathan and tell him i sent you

Gregory's books are shit, they don't tell me how to fix shit, only the steps to remove the dashboard and shit.

You know, I could always dash down to the EBT workshop at Damascus and fucking chromoli my own custom dash... can't forget to extend the shift knob to next to my head. :D
