first up give me some suggestions,
then it will get narrowed down to 5 games,
then the voting begins to get 3 winners!!

so provide me with GAME, PLAYERS, MODE.

eg: BF2, 10 v 10, CONQUEST.

EDIT: WWP or similar crazy game will be slated for novelty comp and Q3 5v5 CTF will run on sunday as per usual.

(i am thinking of maybe melty blood: react - final tuned for the novelty comp, some fighting game, maybe A3)

COD:UO is always close not to mention awesome, SWAT is good but slow, and campwhoring is rife.... BF2 seemed kinda dodgy last time, but i think that was lack of map knowledge, stronghold... not noob friendly but still wicked..... UT... oldskool.... if it replaces Q3 its good... i think Q3 should die but all the old crones and CS hackers seem to like it... meh, i'll play whatever really, all i want in some form of crude painful punishment for team mates who fuck off to maccas and wont let other people use there pcs for comps, am i just dreaming or can we start talking tortures admins????

yeah well cause the numbers for teams are varying a fair bit, it may spell the demise of the lan-long team.
so i dont think we will continue the lan-long teams. you have 5 for q3 and 10+ for bf2.
so its all over the shop.

yeah it would be good to run more comps, but half the people aren't there for most comps anyway.
plus ppl would get shitty if all comps were just single elimination knockout.

and as you said it would be good to have more variety, if each of the comps (minus nov and q3) were of a different genre.
i may even have to enforce that, but since everyone pretty much only plays fps' thats what a bulk of the comps are.

if more people voted for other games, they would be played. but noone does, they just vote for cs, bf and hl.

i would like to see; (MY PERFECT LAN)
NOVELTY - a fighting game and build up the skills like we have done for q3.
MAIIN COMPS -
an RTS (has to be one we can set times, so we can make it fit the schedule)
an FPS (either TDM or a team based OBJ type thing like ONS in ut)
a RACING/SPORTS game, say FIFA, NFS (most wanted looks cool) or NBA.
CLASSIC - QUUUAAAAKKKKE!! i can't believe how the q3 ctf goes!! its good to see there are ppl that practice and have upped the skills of the lan as a whole, this is what we want for every game!!

of course this will never happen, but once i start console events (if ever, cmon interest ppl!!), the games stick around for longer so ppl can get better at em.
hopefully i can drag some interest up and get them runnning, as i am keen as fuck to get it going.

All the cunts who want all FPS's and dont vote for the RTS's - as comps we can vary it up a little and give everyone thier fair shot at what they're good at - I for one am the shittest racing car driver on the face of this earth, but i like to think i can hold some in a FPS.

The pussies who whine about it can just game out of comp - set a a CoD or SWAT map and get cunts who arent racing or sporting it up to join.

I would say world of warcraft but thats online, its a good game, Swat 4 is good, we could play stronghold 2, and then the server crash right before I'm about to attack, or there could be 9 of us playing star wars GB and the server crash as i have massive armys not doing anything.... only thing that didnt crash at nicks little lan was CS.... shhh dont tell anyone, but ayden and damo were the ones who suggested it :)

World of Warcrafdft is not an imposibility - it would just be very crap. Joshu and i rented a LAN server for WWC, and it ran well. problem s, with only 2 people, it was shit so we gave up pretty quick

its a mixture of CS and CoD, altho its pretty shit by todays standards in terms of GFX. To realy have it as a novelty comp you would have to play version 1.3b which was just AWESOME!, the newer versions are made by the same team as CS last i looked....
