fear demo is fucking unreal

i had to ensure i had someone over at my house to hold my hand while playing the game :O

my other hand was on the mouse i swear it...

but really the game is pretty damn good from the demos aspect..lighting/shadows/sound is intense... shit myself a few times i ended up shooting my own shadows thinking it was a guy

Downloaded it, played it, and I have two main complaints.

1. What's the deal with not being able to see ANYTHING? Even with the torch on. It's more scary when you can see what's shooting at you IMHO.

2. It does what all the other games on my computer are doing at the moment; it's lagging out whenever an enemy gets near. :(

Out of interest, did you guys reboot after you "installed" DirectX 9.0c? I didn't, maybe that's my problem.

Also, WHAT THE HELL IS WITH THE COMPULSORY INSTALLATION OF DIRECTX 9.0C?!? I swear to god I already had it installed.

Yeah, I had Direct X 9.0c installed too. Why do they include that shit in the installer - why not provide a download link?

I was also scared of my own shadow in the game, so many wasted bullets :) It'll be a brilliant game when the full version comes out.
