its time once again to replace the dogey keyboard and mouse with something new. this time i got a 2 in 1 package deal. i was quite content with my previous logitech products, so i went out and snaped up a logitech MX 3100, wireless combo with their mx 1000 mouse for 174 at a local shop,,,,,
its quite impressive i like the accuracy adn feel of the mouse, the keybaord is a little diffrent its just not my old keybaord and its gonna take some time to get used to. must say though very nice product indeed,
prolly 8.5/10 :)
marks against for wireless and havein to buy batteries when they die, but the charging station for the mouse is very cool, i sould only have to change the batties in the keybard every month or so.......
all in all a decent buy and a relly good price from the guys down at empire IT. in clayton.

wireless is gay.
after all the trouble myself and kenny had with other peoples shit interferring with our gear
and also when i continued to fk with kennys mouse when he was trying to find the responsible mouse
were too much to take.
plus you have the pain of swapping batteries or plugging in charging stations.
when you only get TWO outlets at an X.
so keep that in mind.
two words. wireless, gay.

wireless is shit house, if i could get one that had the option of a usb charger on the keyboard and mouse... with 50 differnt channels... only then would i consider it.
I got my MX518 wired gaming grade mouse, bloody beautiful. along with my Thai keyboard im set.... im never far enough from my PC to warrent a cordless substitue.

Actually they weren't that cheap, I had a thing for A4 tech, and it came with a usb charger that also charged nokia phones. But they were some of the first wireless's, but yeah, wireless is very gay :)

Should I say first wireless opticals... more to the point, should I need to say it...
Actually I shouldn't, cause wireless ball mice don't count, they were shit, used
bugger all batteries though, had one for the lounge pc back in the day, batteries
lasted for ages.

The common microsoft LED optical $20 mouse has more accuracy than most human finger muscles and screen resolutions, the only advantage of laser optical is if you're too retarded to use a decent mouse mat.
Also if you want to try and lower the amount of RF interference, try an oven tray. They work wonders for monitors next to each other.

or the side off ur case. :D
wether they be one of the first, they are still cheap nastys... 2 channels.. pfft
yes, of couse wireless, i mean damn, if ya mouse isn;t wireless, just go back and get a 2 button ball mouse.. ffs, get with the times, the mx1000 kicks the mx500, (not the new one), but when itcomes down to it, who ever had a mx500 or mx1000 skip in a game... or even, when trying to make them jump.
I actually have the same kbd/mouse combo, i use end/home/del keys alot.. it did take a lot of getting used to, but I like it more than my old one now :)

its not the accuracy that is the number one thing, tho I garentee you its heaps better, nothing ike moving a mouse from one side to the other of a 1920 lcd with just wrist movement, and still ahving per pixel accuracy.
its the update speed, move your cheap mouse quick, and you go everwhere.
and then to make them ms mouse useful, don;t forget they mouse pad...
dude, when relaxing infront of pc, ya wanna lean back on chair, keyboard on lap, mouse on leg/armrest.
and still have per pixel accuracy..
tho the only dif I noticed between the mx500 and my mx1000 when using them was they gay cord on the mx500, and the mx1000you need to lift it higher or ya go nuts when ya move it (ya get used to that very quick), but works on any surface (no need for retard mats)
my opinon..
mouse, 9/10
cons:
non-removable battery
sensor location, would have preferred it on the right, not the left
pros:
very accurate
very fast update
lots of programmable buttons
very well sized and comfortable
comes with charging dock
no delay/lag
keyboard, 8/10
cons:
non-standard layout, when moving between pc's pain in the arse
kinda ugly, they coulda done better
pros:
very nice layout when ya used to it, but can also be a con
long battery life
large number of keypresses without fault
no delay/lag
drain holes (tested, and my coke ran straight thru!!!!)
