I know it's probably a lost cause, but is there anything I can do to get my data back after my lovely drive of legally obtained television shows started making the CLICKING sound and won't work? It's out of warranty and Western Digital are cunts.

I've heard of this freezing method... Very skeptical. Anyone ever try it? :)

Or does anyone know how to do it properly? I'm broke at the moment and don't want to replace it... Plus, the data took yonks to compile :).

Lol, I've asked the wankers who made the power supply that fried the drive for compensation for a new one :D

I'll see if they even reply :D

Otherwise I'll grab your USB cradle, Dairums, and try the freezing method as a last resort.
