Catering @ LANX

As some of you know, we trialled catering at LANZiLLA a couple of weeks ago, and from what I've heard it seemed to go awesomely! So good old Dave Bray (from Rio Bravo) is going to be catering LANX this weekend! There will be a variety of awesome low cost LAN food available, including drinks and snacks. You won't be able to bring food or drinks into the venue itself as it's a Basket Ball court and against the venue rules. There is a canteen that joins the room where you will be able to eat, this is obviously going to be where Dave is setup :)

So bring some bucks for food, $20 should see you easily though the weekend (unless you're the munga, god dam that thing must cost a mint to run). So try this out "Muuuuuuuuuum, can I have some spending money for foooooooood!".

Look, I don't wanna say "I'm sure if you brang a few lollies it wouldn't really matter", cause then dudes would be all like "FREE REIGN TO BRING EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD EVER!". The main thing is the drinks, we always have a bit of spillage, and it's bad. We don't want to have to pay extra to get the floor professionally cleaned, it's going to be tight as it is! Take a look at the bigger picture guys, the more time you spend gaming the less time you'll spend thinking about food :P

I don't mind not being able to bring food and drink into the venue, I trust that nobody from LAN-X would be dodgy enough to raid my bad and steal from me, so I'll keep a few cans in my bag and leave it at the door. If I want a drink I'll grab a can on my way out and drink while getting some fresh air. Caffine + Fresh Air = great 'pick me up' after several hours of solid gaming.

Yeah, thanks for the support Loki, I'll remember that next TC LAN. Prices are going to be very reasonable, stop being shit and start supporting us or X is not going to be able to pay for itself. This venue is twice as expensive as the uni, and at the moment things are looking grim, we need 4 rows full just to pay for the event, which we don't have at the moment. So please, help us out, cause if I wear a debt from X, game over man, game over...

Thanking you all for your understanding and support on this issue, if the lightbulb hasn't appreared over your head going "shit, bringing $20 for food for a WHOLE weekend isn't that bad, expecially when that's about the cost of 2 large macca's meals, I'll support x and their new catering deal to ensure the event continues", I'll be a very sad panda :(

Judging by how the catering went at LZ3.11 things should be fine... just DON'T SHUN DAVE! :) He's there with ice-cold drinks and hot food, and the food is top-notch! Do you REALLY want warm coke?

As much of a prick as you see me, i think i speak for all who attend WE would all chip in some $$$ to see that X would not go under and that no one person would have to bear the grunt of a heafty hole in your pocket, for some its the only social event we get and for other less fortnate ppl the only multiplayer/leach session.

And for those of you who disagree with me - eat shit and die ffs.

I wanna be the first to say (I already told Dave in person) that the catering this LAN was hella awesome. Keep rolling with it :) You gotta sort out those continental breakfasts though.

Dave, you're a life saver mate. The weekends food was awesome and at excellent prices, i actually managed to eat dinner and lunch/breaky of my budget of $6. The rule about the food and drink was fine, it just ment that heaps of socializing happened in the catering area, which is a plus for me.

Couple of fags had to be gay though, a pizza box and a empty coke bottle were found in the hall during packup, shame on you. But once again, it was excellent to have a LANX Restaurant
