Ideas for games.

I'm looking to learn some skills with OpenGL and C++, so I'm making a game or two. The only problem is: I don't have an idea what I'm doing. All I know is that I want to make a multiplayer game with no storyline, that is all gameplay, and isn't a ripoff of an existing series (TV, movie, or game).

If you've got any ideas, I'd be oh-so-very-incredibly-happy to hear them.

Yeah, I've done the whole BASIC/QBASIC/VisualBASIC lot, as well as Pascal, PHP and ASP.

Dude, I can program with ease. :p I just need an idea for a game.

Yeah C++ is easy! especially ifyou have doen pascall makes it easier cause you have some experience working with libraires then!

No story line all game play.... sounds like CS hahahahahahahahaa

Jay, that's the idea mate: I wanna make a pure gameplay game before taking the time to write dialogue scripts.

i think all good games should involve both wombats and shotguns and molotov cocktails, i also think you should have the game set in suburban melbourne 2000 years in the future where most of the city is under water and people have to use submarines that convert into flyingcars/hovercrafts to get around, and the people shold live in the high rizes using platforms that join the building together to walk around on and the main infrastucture is based around McDonalds. this would of corse be an FPS with real big guns and players being able to chose between human/dwarf/dolphin/wombat/robots. and then pick what country there from. hope you take my sugestion into consideration, and yes i would like my name in the credits :).
