My Laptop

Well I brought this good acer laptop, this story sounds familar, but anyway... it goes a little something like this: I will not mention real names or buisness names only brands due to reasons

The DVD burner stops working so its replaced, fine thats ok
The Keyboard breaks so its replaced, BUT it comes back with the case half put on!

So I ring acer in melbourne and get them to tell "the company" im bringing it in!

Well I bring it in this afternoon to "the company" and basically the "BIG WANKER" says is that it the case poping is that it, I said it shouldnt do that so the techincan procceds to the front with my laptop! he turns it over, all screws are in there! and then he says what hes gunna do and proceeds out the back. then "BIG WANKER" comes out and says I know you have opened your laptop! and im like "WHAT THE FUCK. YOU THINK IM GUNNA OPEN A 2.6k Laptop under warrenty you got to be fucking joking" the "BIG WANKER SAYS:" I know you did it im gunna fix it anyway!" so im like " I DIDNT FUCKING OPEN MY FUCKING LAPTOP, GIVE IT FUCKING BACK NOT FIXED, IM CONTACTING ACER, THEN MY SOLICTOR!" the "BIG WANKER" said: Fine ill give it back", 5 minutes later after i see them crowing around my laptop! it comes out! and "BIG WANKER" goes: "I was gunna fix it! why did you arch up," in my head it was like cause I didnt want you to win if i let them fix it it proves to them i opened the laptop which i didnt so big "BIG WANKER" was saying things like after all we done for you. But see mind you "BIG WANKER" offered me job a while back but insted he gave it to an actual gay person who told me the motherboard i brought had on board gigabyte of ram!

So now the lovely people at acer ohh and the guy i think i scared are couriering my laptop to be fixed cause the dealer/service center guys dont know shit and the repair center in melbourne does....

So Hopefully some of you will clue on to never to go to this store!

I'm pretty sure there's no law against bad-mouthing a business - I wouldn't do it to a LAN X sponser though ;). If you help someone steer clear away from their shitty service, then do it. Word-of-mouth is the ultimate killer of bad stores.

when i was shoping for a laptop. there were 3 brands that stood out, Asus, Hp, and Toshiba....
i ended up with a toshiba... adn no im not joking when i say toshiba.... At least its not a MAC!!!! (are anyones ears on fier yet?)

Yeah Macs are good anyway back to the laptop and this business!

I'v been speaking to our family solictor this morning and we have 3 options! Basically I want an appolgy off someone! but if acer dosnt fix my laptop then i want some money and an appolgy and the business in ballarat to loose something other than a few grand!

1. Write to business in ballarat demand appolgy off Big Wanker for wrongly accusing me
2. Write to Francshise in Sydney as for an appolgy off them for there store and an appolgy of Big Wanker
3. Write to acer get an appolgy of them, the Franchisee and Big Wanker

if the Laptop is not fixed, then its most likley 2 letters one to Francsihee and Acer! saying we going to take action agaisnt them for the actions of the DIckheads in there stores! Hopefully the ballarat business will then loose its franshise or its contract to acer! Because the uni now has brought a few acers like 15-20 or something and I can make someone boycott the ballarat business for service!

did you ever just think of asking them politely???? you would be suprised what kinda reaction you would get... and it they mention money keep your cool and tell em why you shouldent pay up... i really cant see you getting any money back for your inconvinence, but i can see an appolgy

also ask to speak to the manager or the store ownere as a quick word to them can ushally speed things up a bit

lol, ok The guy who I argued with Is the manager, he comes out, full boar accuses me of doing something! Like opening my laptop up, I did not OPEN MY LAPTOP UP! If he wasnt a smart ass about it going, I know you opened it cause screws are missing, and then I say no I didnt, he goes Don't Lie there are screws missing, there were no screws missing when I brought it in but there was when I came out, If he just done his stupid job as the Service agent for acer this would of never happened, My case was not on my laptop properly and the the case did not line up with the buttons after they fixed it last time, its not a stupid fucking request like I was told by him cause laptops dont do that! I did ask them polietly when I walked in, it was he who was not polite to me! They didnt ask me for money it should of been a simple warrenty job!

If acer wants to sell any more PC's to Centacare cause I was gunna purchase at least 25 more PC's through them to get a group of 35 they will fix my laptop. Also I have some people questioning this business at uni now cause the uni just brought lots of new acer desktops and this buisness is the autherised service agent

I know I wont get money, Might end up with a new laptop though

macs are good, I got dell cos at the time, they had the best, and highest res lcd's.
dell are still leading in that area, especially on price.

never had 1 issue with this notebook, rock solid, been thru hell and back, and still runs like new!

O well the courier didnt turn up yesterday, so i rang acer! and It was scedualed for today, and they gave me a direct number to contact them on!

So I just want it fixed! and an Appolgy off Big Wanker for accusing me of shit I didnt do!

well its fixed got it back today! Yay!!! all screws in it, case back together properly
