We were thinking of a cheap way to hook up spots computer to his tv like mine. I did mine ages ago when I had army money and could afford the hi qual cabling and gold wall plates ;)
But alas, spot needed a cheap solution to this problem, so I though why not use some left over CAT5?

This is the end that goes into the TV:

I've been meaning to do that for AGES, but I didn't have an S-Video Male connector. Any word on how you wired SVid to Video RCA....... wait a minute there. You cheapskate!!

Now tell us how to do that trick with a non-SVideo tv.

It's an svideo tv, so it's straight svideo to svideo.
If your computer only has svideo, you should have an adapter. I don't know what your working with, so I can't really help ya, More info joshu ;)

Computer = GeForce4Ti4200 (SVGA out / SVideo out / DVI out)
TV = A/V in

Ahh, easy done. If you got an adapter that is, have a look in your gfx card box, most ti4200's came with the adapter, unless it's a sparkle, or unless you purchaced it at a swapmeet :P

Adapter? Not one there, my friend. Only a short s-video cable.

It's a PalitDaytona card.

Not one that's over 10m long.

The cord is PERFECT (tested between VCR and TV) -- what settings do I need to use in my OS? (I have a GeForce4 with 52.16 Detonators.)
