The comps should get orginised before the lan, so we don't waste comp time at the lan.

good idea
ok kaadu, if you can get everyone who wants to play in a certain comp all there on the day, ready, with the game installed and updated to the correct version, good luck to ya!
jeez the ut2k3 comp was even a stuff around and there were only 2 people wanting to play it!
go and check out the relevant comp thread and find out what version the admins are running.

Jesus! I never thought of that, what a wonderful idea! That would save so much fucking around and headache's for us, how brilliant!
Oh wait, then I would have to depend on people coming to have there shit together... hmmmm, see kaddu, that's kinda where everything FALLS TO FUCKING SHIT!

The trouble is, there's always a new version released the day before you go to a LAN. :(

you can still organise the comp STRUCTURE though

Yeah, it is. But the thing is, teams of 5, this comp, go! I said GO! um, why arn't people going...
err... cause I haven't installed it, i knew the comp was on a month in advance, but I will wait till the comp start is called before I take any action...
Thats why we get delays... I mean, except for the SuP guys who are all ways ready for a war in whatever game, it's pretty hard to get every one ready at the same time. :(

Just a tip: Announce that the comp is in half-an-hour, and people MUST install the games or they're voided from the comp.

Tried that, ya can be a nazi, but that would go against the LANX atmosphere. As in, if you want shafted, goto shafted, if you want and easy going laid back country lan, come to LANX ;)

OKay.
Change "MUST" to "OUGHT TO"
Change "or they're voided from the comp." to "or they'll receive a spanking."

Yeah I am with you Kenny.. please exscse any spelling moistakes I am quite drunk...... but......it just doesn't work, gamers don't take any innitiative. Tey wait till the comp is called and go...."I havn't got it installed..... hahahahah I did it for SPFII but I wasn't aloud to play and you know what, fair enough.
If gamers actually exercised there brains and turned up with installed games it would make things alot easier. HOw whard is it to read the forum go I wanna play that game and install it????
I am with you Kenny!1 I feel your pain bro. Admins can only do so much and they do a great job. If you wanna play in a comp it is your choice and your responcibility to have installed versions. Thats what i think anyway. But I will probably change my mind tomorrow when I wake up sober up and read what the hell I have read haahahahahahahahah
And you know what..................
Ahh foget it I can't remeber. Ask me tomorroew ;)
