I think they call it an "adaption", which mean's if it sucks, Doom the game isn't really hurt :P Games are saying no to hollywood, and it's pissing them off :P It's like hollywood begs them for the rights to make their game into a movie, like going, I'll give you 20M to make your game into a movie, the game makers are like, the game made 100M, or in the sims case, 1 BILLION FUCKING DOLLARS, so they say, a bad movie may decrease sales of our game, so fuck off hollywood.
It's the best, the games industry has so much power! But because it's new found power, they haven't using it to be complete faggots like the MPAA who are trying to get every cent out of every production they make by shutting down torrent sites... Can't wait till "GameyWood" buys hollywood :P

Um, I believe it will hurt sales if they share the same name! This movie will be a huge sloppy steaming pile of dog shit - The Rock couldn't act his way out of a scrunched up tissue! I'm not paying to see it.

meh... i reckon it'll be an awesome movie... just as long as you don't try to compare it to the game... if you can, get someone to erase every memory of the game you have... and it'll be cool as.

Doom3 was... ok for about 1 hour until you could predict all the gouls movments, and i dont think much stands up against Doom1+2 and i know that alot of ppl that are @ high school or just finished remeber playing it in the IT classes ;)

My prediction:
The Rock gets attacked by monsters.
The Rock kills the monsters.
Everyone else except from a small band of survivors is killed by monsters.
The Rock falls in love with a girl.
The girl gets kidknapped by monsters, and is left in an easily-rescueable position.
Token Black Man #1 dies attempting to save her.
Token Black Man #2 says "dinomite!" or "shazam!" at least 8 times.
The Rock saves the girl.
The Rock becomes Rock Hard and scores.
Earth is saved, whoopey!
Mudgie leaves theatre, pissed off.

the game industry is second only to the porn industry. it is far above music and movies. hollywood is so starved for ideas that sooner or later they will run out of older movies to remake and games to 'adapt' that they will implode.
that being said, a movie costs what, $10 or so? and if you pay this money, and its crap, do you honestly think its worth complaining about? if that $10 could have gone to your 'save-lochy-from-jail' fund or to pay for your creams then perhaps dont spend it?
if it really aggrevates your precious fantasy worlds then maybe you can go and stop the movie from being made, jay and silent bob style. and when you get to hollywig you can find those warner bros fucks who are making this movie and make them eat your shit, then shit out your shit, then eat the shit thats made up of your shit that you made em eat. who knows, you might get lucky with a hot slut, find a monkey and get shot at.
