what did you like about x13 - Comps. were smooth as!

what didn't you like about x13 - ppl from Geelong seemed to be a pain in the arse (generalization) ;) Loved everything most succesful X since "For"

what do you think could have been done better - Absolutely no complaints, cant think of anything that could of been done better

what would you like to see at the next X - Novelty comps. like X idol and sculling of foul shit. They help break things up a little and generaly everyone has a laugh and a good time.

plus any other comments about X13 - Kudos ( :) ) to the admins and everyone else that made this past X a fucking awesome lan!

What I liked: Comps were wicked, as was the Hunt Emps episode. The "more people around on Sunday" thing was pretty cool, you should have some more stuff on Sundays to have people stick around.

What I didn't like: Slow mornings, barely anyone was up, also there wasn't a lot of projector action :( Also, you had people catching onto the "free sausages after 30 minutes" thing, which wasn't cool.

What could've been done better: Policing of "WHAT I SAY GOES LOL I OWN THE PLACE" Geelongites, and "LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL *runs around room* I R HORNY" Geelongites.

What I'd like to see next time: I agree with Lee, there needs to be more "Get your pasty ass outside" comps. It'd be fucking radical to see the LANX dudes play a game of soccer on the oval we were tossing CDs around on last LAN. I also wanna see some new games being advertised in comps.

Other comments: X rocks the house. Bring the photos out sometime soon. Also, you need to do something about

The fact that you didn't take no shit, people who are ready on time shouldn't have to wait for the few that cbf installing shit or being ready for comps, I mean, it's not like there's any notice or anything... well done, rule with an iron fist ;)
I really like the team/team captain setup, then you only have to talk to one person to make sure the teams are organised, and then they get their troops in line, very efficient system. :D

The few (not all, a couple of you were dudes ;)) sooky la la's from a certain sea side town that did everything in their power to fuck it up for the rest of the attendees. Very nice effort, really points out the fundamental differences in the two lan cultures... :rolleyes:

Um, I reckon you'll have to look into a more descriptive internal page, to post comp time so team's and team captains know where they have to be and when. But NOT ALP though!!! It's meant to be Autonomous LAN Party, but turns it into Anonymous LAN Party, because teams don't get up and talk to each other, they just sit their in anonymity...

Savage and quake3 comps were very cool. Joint Ops was nice to. Having the teams for the whole day was kinda cool as well. Most things went smoothly which made the event top notch.

what didn't you like about x13??

People who joined a team and then didn't play in the comps, especially annoying in games like joint ops where a player down is a huge disadvantage.

People who snored and talked all night making it hard to sleep in that big room that everyone had to sleep in. i like it better when it was spread over that room and the two smaller rooms that fit 10ppl each or so in them.

Oh and last of all those fags who booked a seat and didn't turn up.

The 'subs' idea since there always seemed to be teams with players short. Maybe instead of teams of 10 have teams of 12 so that teams will always be full and not one or two players short.

Also do one of the other gameplay modes for COD to keep the geelongites happy. And i don't like gameplay modes that are based around camping a base.

As already mentioned games on the oval its there and im sure plenty of people would be up for a game of soccer or cricket or football etc.

The Savage comp... even though everyone complained and bitched about having to play it, I looked around the room during the comp to see everyone either smiling, or with a (very bad) game face. Everyone who played in it had fun. And i don't mind losing... I just love playing it. Same deal with quake III.

The "No drinking". I know a few of you will be surprised that I am putting this in the "like" section, coz most of you know that i like a few beers every now and then. But No drinking was good. It kept the emphasis on gaming (or leeching, in the case of geelong).

It was good to see quite a few gamers make the trip from geelong. Yeah, they were a bit of a pain in the ass... Not all of them, but a select few. I remember when i went to the first ML, everyone from Geelong was like "Pffft... why would a want to go out of geelong, when we have the best LAN in the state"... dumbasses.

The gameplay was great. No dirty tactics, like there have been in the past. And there wasn't any love/hate relationships between the different teams (apart from geelong)

Newcomers. I reckon there would've been 10 ppl there that i've never met. It's good to see some different people there. And the network was well done too. I didn't have any probs with my connection the whole time i was on my computer.

Thought #1: If I Go to a LAN, I go there to game (and leech a teensy weensy bit), not to try and pick up... not that that was aimed at anyone in Particular ;)

Thought #2: Ok... Most of the time i can get along with gamers... But for fucks' sake... can the geelong fags stop chasing the 14 yr old girl around the room. Your not 10... you shouldn't be playing tiggy, or kiss chasey. And not inside. Gamers of all people should know how expensive everything is in there. What if the chick, or whoever is chasing her trips, and tries to grab onto something... Like a desk... and it falls over. Are they going to pay for someone's new computer. I don't think so.

Maybe put the cost up to $30, but include breakfast (1 egg and bacon roll) and the BBQ (a sausage and a hamburger, or 2 sausages or something like that) in the price. I know i'd pay the extra $5. Then just charge the normal price if they want extra food.

Or maybe even something different, like chinese, or Fish and Chips...

And I like Snoop's idea of cricket or FOOTY!... It'd break up the 3 days in a room with limited sunlight. Play on the sunday, coz everytime there's been an X, there's been awesome weather on the sunday.

Would you little prepubesant bitches grow some maturity and not spend the entire LAN chasing around a certain 14 yr old girl? If she's bored at a LAN it's her fault for going. Christ, alot of the shit there is EXPENSIVE so don't run the risk of knocking shit over. We all know what was going through your minds and just because you do what she says does not mean she'll pop your cherries. God you kids give me the shits...

All in all not the worst LAN i've been to but at the same time not the best, somehow i still prefer the home crowd advantage that ML brings.

People who were serious about the lan and managed to have fun, and the comps were great, decent level of skill.

First i'd like to start off by apologising if i helped destory LAN-X. Im there to play the games and all that.

The Biggest problem i found with X was me being the Team Captain of the hardest team in the world to control..........Geelong' s Finest. Most of the decisions that I made were on behalf of the majority of the team, not my own personal view. Im sorry.

We enjoyed Savage that was good. Most of the team tryed to get out of Joint Ops and also cryed over Headquarters. I didnt like it much being something new but i still had fun. The forfeiting of GF in Headquarters was a majority team choice, not mine once again.

Also for the next LAN-X we should all put a ban on Britt, she destracts young lanners. Like playing chasey with Vindicator and sitting out the back crying into the phone with the whole GF sitting around her. Not to mention acting like a whore on DC Chat, talking and yelling in the crash room, and sleeping with Empathy.

I look forward to the next LAN-X. Hopefully it will be more like X 12 and not X 13. And also i dont think all the geelong noobs will make the journey again, they have realised they are not welcome.

I just hope that i'm still welcome.

The comps were fucking sweet! Good to see some Savage, which I really enjoyed. Also, the absence of deathmatches were really cool, too. Quake 3 was amazingly fun, I really hope we play that map and mode again! The 'leader' system worked wonders, too.

Good because kiddies who are 16+ are starting to mature, and don't run around. They go to LANs to game, and they game hardcore for like 3 days straight, and don't get off their computers.

It was Awesome, Greatness, i love the idea of having it over 2 nights. people are not presured to Leach soo much straight away and spread it out a little. unlike monsterlan most people stay untill the end, sorry that i didnt but i had to get home, work and tafe and stuff.

thanks again to the ADMINS i will definately be coming to the next LANX hopefully without brits being there and i am sure that geelongs finest will reign terror into the hearts of the Ballarat people and take home the Trophys to the competitions.

The Bottom line is that if you wish to come to a LAN again here is a list of the things that you will need to do,

1. Dont act like you are the little princess and try to get everyone to do everything for you, come prepared bring your own mouse and dont expect to always borrow others.

Be More mature. first impressions last, and this is the age of the internet, word travels fast and sooo do videos,

if you have a problem then tell one of the admins, as much as they dont want to be pestered about petty bullshit, if there is something serious going on they are still responsible for you and the other minors.

Now if you are ever invited to another LAN. cause i seriously think that you are treading on thin ice with all the admins of all the geelong and surrounding LANS, act like you are 15 not 5, and dont go round screaming and trying to pick up certain 20 year olds, ( yes theres more then 1). generally behave and there should be no problems.

kenny and spot, who i love dearly, should not have to act as babysitters. that being said there arent gonna be any nazis there to make sure you are quiet all the time and dont have any fun, but there needs to be more consideration for other people shown
