it will have to be a little app that everyone runs that streams audio from the main server when activated .. sort of an ingame PA. It could easily be done with a text popup but of course certain 1337 games can't deal with the window focus being taken away from them
Come to think of it, there's a fair potential for feedback if spot has his mega speakers pumping shit out :p

Pull the power out, and yell. :) Voice-based shit ain't too good an idea, because it'd still be hard to hear, and some people's sound cards don't support two seperate sound channels correctly. Text popup = suck with BF.
Console'd text messages would probably be the best idea, IMNSHO.

what, so for example, you couldn't run winamp in the background of a game on these cards ???
FFS if people have hardware / drivers that shit they can suck it
every card i've come across including shitty onboard stuff has no problems
besides not all games support console messages from the server, not all people in game read them, and who wants to track down all the server machines in the room to type the message

But yeah, I've only seen one card that sucks that much; My brother's. But it must've been the drivers, cuz it got fixed upon the advent of XP. *shrug*
But, with the audio concept comes the concept of everyone installing a certain program, and possibly certain - admin - members - *glares at SPOT* - singing on it. Augh, the humanity.

But, installing a lightweight self removing app will probably be introduced at some stage anyway, to help with with admin tasks like finding a machine with a particular ip, useful for example for quickly getting any worm infested machines off the network for cleaning ...
I WILL have to hide the master mic though, once spot sucks down a few jolly boags'

Make two keys for it that are in devices 10 metres apart, that have to be turned at the same time.
It'd work, except SPOT probably has access to a stretching rack, and could ninja the keys...
