Well guys! That... was awesome. Except for the behind the scenes shit with the venue manager... But we did our best to shield you from that! Anyways, all I can say is, no more LAN's at the Nerrina... NOT EVER!
We are looking for alternate venue's at the moment, but I think we hit the nail on the head with the way that LAN went. I had an awesome time, thanks to ya guys from coming.

My ideas for the next LAN69.
I think that we almost got it spot on with that one, the only big problem was food (me points at burning "spray hole").

With the amount spent on food etc, I was thinking of including it in the cost. We have a venue in mind, I was thinking something like $50 for the weekend, with actual "FOOD" and an all you can eat which is more that a schnitzel (I was fucking embarrased about that guys) Do a cheap drinks thing again, all that good stuff, anyways, I'm going to visit the toilet again! Check ya next time!

would be good to find another pub that has a function room that can accomodate a bunch of us, and it would be good if we didnt have pissed cunts coming in :mad fuckin stupid yobbos

i guess this just requires a bit of research into venues around ballas that can do what we need. would be good if we could get one that didnt charge a room fee or if they did charge a fee, food was included. $50 sounds ok, but it could drive some people away :/ i know you and spot will do ya best so good luck, and if i can help, you know how to contact me (the bat light isnt working, so just send a carrier pigeon)

Unfortunately i was unable to make it to the LAN :(. But this sounds interesting, um waht went wrong what were the so called problems with the management? I allreeady seen that u lot have been sick from the e-mail so i take it the food was pretty trashsy.

Oh and that would be a really good price if the food was good, that would be a fuckin great price actually especially if it was 3 meals a day.

Just one more question (sorry). Did the LAN 69 Admin have to supply the bar person? (emps i presume). If that is the case i takw iot emps did not get much in the way of sleep.

Regarding the Viruses, it's not like people have to actually pay for a good antivirus.

Check Out:

They have a great FREE (for personal use) product, AVG Anti-Virus, which contrary to some's opinion is very effective. (ICSA Labs 100% Certified each month for at least a year)

The updates are frequent (and small to download). The reason they can make it free (and still effective), is that business users have to pay, simple as that.

So, uninstall your dodgey cracked versions of whatever, and get AVG. Keep it up to date .. everyone's a winner!

And no more lame excuses for bringing viruses to the LAN :)

As for the $50, i think on one hand it's a great idea but on the other hand, it's definately a bit much for some

Here's my 2 cents

Why not have a cooking roster? I'd be happy to man a least 1 shift (easily 2) on the bbq, something which i have a lot of experience in :). Believe it or not, I also make a rad Greek Salad. Gimme access to an oven and some prep area, and i can pump out some 'delightful' date scones, or a variety of rad pastas (big fat cheesy lasagnes for instance)

Seriously, this could work out cheaper and way more fun than trusting some yokel and his germy kitchen, and I cant be the only one who is keen to cook up some radical food for everyone :)

Hay all u guys im so sorry for the way that 69 panned out man i mean one disarster after another and i felt like such a cunt cuse i organised all the shit and said id work for free over the weekend and not sleep and shit wich is like 550 buks that i gave up for my gamers so now im poor this week and this is what happens it turns around and becomes the worst gaming event i ever been to i spent my time stressing about what to say to my boss without getting evryone kicked out keeping footys people out of the place making sure spot didnt get in a fight with teh footy dude cleaning up peoples spew(omg u have no idea how bad that is i have never done that b4 in my life dear god it was awful) and then not getting one full proper game in until the last day and then it was only bf...... Not to mention not sleeping for 50+ hours kinda takes it outa u once again guys i have apologise again and as a result of the weekend i am now unemployeed so if anyone knows anyone that can set me up with a job it would be gre4atly apreciated

I believe that there is some kind of precedence for people being harrased in the work place feeling like they have to quit.. i you can prove harrasment.. and that's it.. proving it.. then i think that you could go to the various unions, wage like, eeo, etc ... and seek legal advice..

Yeah i'll be keeping an eye out as well. I'm in the process of getting a job bartending, but it prob won't do u any good cause its at a country pub. But i'll keep a look out anyway.

Now another idea, have u lot thought about having a LAN at a country pub? I no some country jionts that have some great function rooms that may not be anything to hire (i ain't sure but if u woulld like to no just tell me, hint hint) plus we may get a discount for having such a long time. I no the owner of a pub that may be able to be convinced to let us in for the $50 a head (convieniantly it is also the place that i am trying to get a job at, so u won't have to pay a bartender.) Oh and FINALLY, they got some of the best meals EVER there, the jiont fuckin rocks plus i could keep out the yobbos because i would no most of them (thats what u get when u play in a cricket team of drunks)

Anyway it was just an idea and if Kenny or Spot or any of the admins would like me to enquire about the place i would be hapy to do so. Just give me the nod

Ok, now I know us nerds don't like hearing words like "fifty dollars" I mean, that could buy 2 spindles! By our nature we are the tightest people on the planet. That being said, we also proved that we can party like it's no one's business ;) I enjoyed the shit out of myself at 69, and really want another event like that. Now! The reason I am chucking around the $50 mark, is because I'm looking at higher class places! The front runner at the moment is the "Boat Shed" on the Lake. This is a damn fancy joint, I have been their a few times for mates parties and it would suit us down to a tea. In the cost of entry LOTS of GOOD food would be included, not like the toxic ass monkey shit that they served up at the Nerrina. For us to do something like this, we need to give venue's an incentive, and you know they saying, money talks, bullshit emps mum... or something like that. If we get a place like this for the weekend, say around the 20th of december for our xmas break up, it'll be warm, good times, on the lake, drunken paddle boat races... oh, and something me and spot have been planning for years, lilo's in the middle of the lake with a slab! Now that would be the shit!
Let me know peoples, you spend more that that on food anyways, ya just gotta get past it babies!
