First LAN 69 Date

All systems go for LAN69!

The Neerina has been booked and we are all getting excited!
The Dates For LAN69 will be:
October 10th - 12th Starting at about 4pm on Friday.
You will only need your PC and a Power Board, me and spot have been busy making up Network Cables, they have been taped together in rows, so all will be simple. Also got a great deal on power boards at Bunnings, so you will have 1 point each, instead of 1 point between 4.

LAN69 is about us getting together with our mates, and something different for the LANX regulars. We put a lot into LANX so this is an oppourtunity for us to unwind and get to chill with you guys instead of organising comps flat out and running around like spastics.

Idea's for LAN69.
Me and Spot have been thinking about what we want to achieve with LAN69.
We have come up with the following Ideas:

We will have some comps, not as structured as LANX, more for us to test servers, get you guys upto date with the latest patches etc, so you are all ready for the comps at LANX. So we are all compatible and have less hastle's before the LANX comps.
Prizes for the comps that we have will be:
MVP: Has to skull a jug (MVP nominated by Us and their Team)
Each member of the the team get's 2 beers each.

Apart from the Game Comps, there will be boat races between the clans. The LANX drinking team awaits.

BBQ On Saturday as per usual ;)

Tell me about it! And Fkn Queen Joyce! She was the one that over booked our room!!! We had it booked for 2 months, then they decided to have a cockheads in the graveyard! So SHE decided to book, my mate Dave was the office/box office guy up there. So he was trying to help me out, to no avail, she pretty much said "fuck the nerds, whack them somewhere else". I was soooo pissed, one day me and my fellow nerds will rise up against these people!

Well man, I'm big on C&C Generals: Zero Hour, as are most of my boys. There is a lot of buzz around HALO for PC, we are going to give it a go, see what it has to offer. We are really pumped for Call of Duty that's out soon. Apart from that, some people play that CS game, I dunno, never played it, it looks kind of dated ;)

Well, nah, personally, the only RTS that has come close to StarCraft has been Generals. Which is odd, cause I hated all the other Command and Conquer games. The only problem though is over the net it has SHIT netcode for the poor masses behind anything that uses NAT. Which for our brother's on DSL means them! Apart from that, and a bit of chug when you are doing a rush with 1000 unit... :P
